Dispatch from AMS: Looking at Land Surface Temperatures
I spend last week at the American Meteorological Society’s annual meeting, which was conveniently held in Austin.� I was too busy to write, and this week was the first week of classes.� So, here’s my first and last dispatch from the meeting. Two talks that caught my eye were on the land surface temperature record.� They attacked the problem of land surface temperature accuracy in two completely different, but complementary ways.
