The JOBS Act requires brokers and funding portals to register with the SEC and applicable Self Regulatory Organizations as intermediaries ("Crowdfunding Intermediaries" or "Funding Portals"). Crowdfunding Portals will offer an attractive capital raising opportunity for private companies seeking to go public.
