Overturned truck spills dirt on North Loop

Traffic was snarled on portions of the 610 Loop in north Houston after a truck overturned and spilled its load of dirt during rush hour Thursday morning. The mishap occurred about 8 a.m. on the eastbound North Loop near Airline, officials said. Initial reports indicate a dump truck loaded with dirt turned over, spilling its load. Police said the truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital. Investigators did not release�details about his possible injuries but said he is expected to be fine. No other injuries were reported.� Portions of the freeway were temporarily blocked near the crash site as emergency crews worked to clear the area.
