Metro CEO?s reason for resigning unclear
Since Metro dropped the news late Friday that its president and CEO, George Greanias, is resigning, officials have been unwilling to discuss the the reason. With a formal letter of resignation expected Monday, Metro is still keeping mum. “We won’t have anything until that letter is released,” said spokeswoman Margaret O-Brien-Molina. Mayor Annise Parker likewise will not have a statement until Greanias’ resignation letter is released, spokeswoman Janice Evans said. The letter is expected sometime Monday, but news of Greanias’ departure is making the rounds.
